For the better part of the past decade, Castle Bay has been directly supporting the City of Daytona Beach with various planning and design efforts for Derbyshire Park, most notably and most recently with the delivery of the City’s first-ever Parks and Recreation Master Plan in early 2025. The result of this year-long planning effort identified Derbyshire Park as the #1 highest priority project the City should pursue for a major renovation. Having held more than a dozen meetings with various groups and stakeholders, including the City Commission, the Parks & Recreation Department and Advisory Board, various members of City staff, and multiple public meetings, Castle Bay determined a revitalized Derbyshire Park was a crucial component to the overall success of the City-wide parks system.
